Things to do in Mozambique

One of the most thrilling things to do in Mozambique, and one of the most environmentally-friendly and responsible ways to travel, is to take a luxury yacht safari off the coast of Mozambique into the magical and remote islands of the Quirimbas Archipelago. We guarantee you a safe and fun-filled expedition where you get to completely relax, to try our on-board activities and to visit some beautiful island destinations en route.

If you book the entire yacht for your private use, this package will include your meet and greet at Pemba airport, return flights between Pemba and Ibo Island Lodge where you will be based and where the mighty Lagoon 52 Catamarans are moored, use of Ibo Island Lodge facilities as well as a short guided tour of the island, sundowners and snacks at the Beach Bar on the point and then the full use of the yacht once you start your Mozambique yacht safari.

All activities on board the luxury Lagoon 52 are free – including all on-board equipment and facilities. What a bonus because when you embark to start your luxury voyage, you will soon realise that you simply cannot get bored: the sailing vessel is stocked with a variety of outdoor and ocean-related activities, including sea kayaks, sufficient sets of snorkelling gear, a range of fun inflatable water toys, stand up Paddle Boards and top class Shimano fishing tackle.

Above all, our luxury yachts just happen to be floating PADI certified Dive Centres which offer unbelievable scuba diving with a professional Dive Master. We do keep a range of masks, snorkels and fins on board but we do recommend that guests bring their own diving kit in the form of wetsuits and personal soft gear.

You will clearly see that our luxury yachts also encompass every safety principle in the game, real comfort and elegance on liveaboard adventures. You will love the sense of openness and space, the light and the welcoming of the great outdoors into the living areas. These sailing vessels have been designed specifically for tropical island idylls! On that note, our luxury Mozambique yacht safaris are ideal for between one to 8 guests who share four double or twin cabins.

You can book our regular charters that run Saturday to Saturday for 7 nights OR you can book your choice of shorter charters – as add-ons to a safari (before or after the safari) or as part of a Mozambique holiday comprising some nights in an island resort and some on a yacht. We have a minimum charter holiday of 4 days but the good news is that there is no minimum charter length – as long as your private charter does not interfere with someone else’s established booking!

Where else in Africa, or in the world for that matter, can you go sailing on untouched waters with a choice of thrilling things to do on board? Contact one of our experienced travel consultants to tailor make your particular yacht safari and we guarantee the best price package deal for you.
